We ask you to spend a
minimum of 8 weeks at “your” school. You may choose
to stay for up to 6 months or longer.
After you have finished, you’re free to travel in Thailand
or surrounding countries (Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam are
popular – they are a bit “difficult” culturally
if travelling direct from UK, but after some weeks in Thailand
you will be well-prepared) or further afield (Australia?).
The cost
of the programme is £980
Introductory
week-end in UK (including accommodation, tuition and
food).
Orientation
week in Bangkok (including accommodation, food, visits,
etc).
Travel
from Bangkok to your school.
Support and
help-line from the local Rajabhat University.
Support from
our Programme Manager, Dr Chawalert, and our Programme
Co-ordinator, Dr Nuanpachong.
FREE
accommodation in Thailand.
Flights, visa, insurance (we recommend
Endsleigh) and pocket money.
You will be surprised how inexpensive things are in Thailand
– food, transport, etc – so your pocket money
will go a long way.
This is
usually with a local family. This is an excellent way of getting
a real insight into Thai culture. And a very good way of improving
your Thai language skills. The family and accommodation are
approved by your School.
In some schools a teachers' house may be available.
The accommodation is provided free of charge as part of the
programme cost.
She is nice.
Good kid. She is so careful about culture differences.
If she doesn’t understand, she will ask and
do right things. She has helped me on house work which
I didn't expect. She has become a daughter to me.
